Say goodbye to static sound.
Filter sweeps are a staple of modern musical language; they have built careers on their ability to add excitement to otherwise mundane sounds.

Motion Filter is a state-of-the-art digital filter equipped with two configurable motion modes designed to energize your sound. Use it to create movement that reacts to your track's dynamics or to craft sweeping tonal changes that evolve over time.

Its high-performance, modern filter design ensures that shape and responsiveness remain intact, even at extreme settings.

Motion Filter offers the flexibility to behave like your favorite traditional filter—with a twist—or to transform any audio source into an ear-catching mix element. It also serves as a more surgical alternative to standard sidechain tools.

From subtle shifts to dramatic sweeps, Motion Filter breathes new life into flat samples, repeating loops, and other rigid sounds by putting a creative spin on one of sound design's most fundamental tools.

Sweep your sound using a pristine, surgical resonant filter that illuminates any source. Its expertly engineered design utilizes a Nyquist-corrected architecture to deliver a smooth, uniform response across the entire range.
Choose from Low-pass, High-pass, Band-pass, and Notch filter modes, with slopes ranging from a gentle 12 dB/octave to a surgical 96 dB/octave.
Modulate the filter using envelope-controlled sweeps—featuring the classic "Sweeper" mode from the original Denise The Sweeper plugin—or the new LFO mode for waveform-based motion. Detailed motion parameters allow you to fine-tune custom movements to suit any situation. Visualize filter action and modify its behavior via a simple, modern interface. Quickly configure parameters with confidence and achieve the desired sound faster.
Sync the LFO rate or envelope release time to the host tempo for sweeps that match your track.
Use sidechain input to control the filter envelope based on the dynamics of a different source.

Features

Sidechain: Trigger Motion Filter's envelope follower using an external sidechain signal. (Inactive in LFO mode.)
Motion Type: Choose between Sweeper and LFO motion. Sweeper mode reacts to the input audio signal, while LFO mode is controlled by a configurable waveform.
Filter Type: Select from Low-pass, High-pass, Band-pass, or Notch filter types.
Resonance Type: Choose between "Regular (static)" and "dynamic resonance behavior."
Detector Stereo Link: Set the detection function to react to a summed signal or dual-mono signals. Filter Slope: Adjust the filter slope from a gentle 12dB/octave to a surgical 48dB/octave. Filter Flip: Invert the direction of the filter movement.
Start: Set the starting frequency for the filter motion.
Frequency Lock: Lock the start and end frequency points to a fixed ratio.
End: Set the maximum frequency for the filter motion.
Resonance: Adjust the emphasis of frequencies near the cutoff.
Sweeper Mode:
Detection: Set the sensitivity of the dynamics detection.
Attack: Adjust the attack time of the filter envelope.
Release: Adjust the release time of the filter envelope.
Release Sync: Sync the filter envelope release time to the host tempo. - Skew: Adjust the midpoint of the filter action.
LFO Mode
Waveform: Select the LFO waveform.
Rate: Set the LFO rate in Hz or sync it to the host tempo. Smooth: Softens the edges of the LFO waveform and adjusts its shape.
Mix: Blends the dry signal with the filter effect. Bypass: Bypasses the plugin.
Output: Sets the global output volume of Motion Filter.
A fun filter that sounds amazing.

Do you enjoy tweaking a synthesizer's cutoff control? With Motion Filter, you can apply that same logic anywhere in your mix. Filters have been a fundamental tool in sound design since the dawn of audio. The reason is simple: a great filter with compelling motion options can cover a vast sonic landscape. Whether you want to subtly enhance static samples, add tonal interest to vocals, or punch up dynamic sources like drums, creative producers have long looked to subtractive synthesis techniques for inspiration.

With Motion Filter, we’ve honed in on this approach to deliver a plugin that does exactly what you need—and nothing you don’t. It is CPU-efficient, offers a surgically clean sound, and features a sleek, user-friendly modern interface. The result is an incredibly easy-to-use tool that you’ll reach for whenever you need motion filtering effects.
