The Slate Digital VIRTUAL PREAMP COLLECTION brings the authentic tone of two of the audio industry's most classic microphone preamps to your digital audio workstation. Each preamp uses cutting-edge analog modeling technology to recreate every aspect of the preamp circuit, from light coloration to full saturation and distortion. While originally designed for use with the Virtual Microphone System's VMS ONE Ultra Linear Microphone Preamp, the VIRTUAL PREAMP COLLECTION ("VPC") can also be used with clean-sounding preamps to add even more richness and definition. VPC adds authentic analog preamp tone to any track or mix, and can also create rich-sounding distortion effects.

FG-73
The FG-73 preamp module is modeled after one of the audio industry's most renowned British discrete solid-state preamps, used on countless recordings. Its powerful, present, and warm sound makes any audio source, even a full mix, sound amazing.

FG-76
The FG76 preamp module is modeled after a classic vintage tube preamp used on countless legendary recordings. Its thick, warm, and colorful tone adds more life to tracks and mixes. The low end has a distinctive, musical saturation effect, making it ideal for bass guitar and kick drum tracks.

Virtual Drive
Both modules feature a "Virtual Drive" knob. This knob simulates increasing the amplifier's input gain while automatically reducing the internal output trim, making it easy to set the preamp's gain stage. For the most color and tone, use the left knob. For more saturation and maximum distortion, turn the Virtual Drive to the right or all the way up.
