SSL X-Limit by Solid State Logic, a powerful limiter plugin for precise loudness control, is now 80% off for just $10.

SSL X-Limit is an easy-to-use, visual limiter for increasing the loudness of tracks and buses without worrying about clipping. It features multiple configurable characteristics, from extremely transparent to colored and glued. It offers precise processing and useful feedback on the limiter's effect on the signal's stereo image. An all-in-one left-to-right waveform visualization allows you to set the limiter threshold and upper limit for your input signal, adjust the gain to capture peaks and increase loudness.

X-Limit includes four preset styles—Transparent, Glue, Punch, and Auto—to fine-tune the trajectory under the hood for different characteristic responses depending on the situation. You can smash drum buses in Punch mode, use Transparent mode on vocals and acoustic guitars to catch peaks, or use Glue mode in subgroups to create a unified sound. Auto mode offers a set-and-forget option, adjusting the time constant based on the transient content of the signal. Unique steering and ducking meters show how the limiting process affects the signal's stereo image, and Channel Link control provides feedback to minimize stereo degradation. Furthermore, X-Limit offers several workflow enhancements such as Gain Lock, I/O differential audition, Gain Match, and Mix control, dialing in the original signal, especially when using X-Limit to add punch and character rather than catch and character. Control the peaks.

Features

Choose from four carefully designed limiter characteristics (Transparent, Glue, Punch, Auto)

True Peak mode uses SSL's True Peak algorithm to effectively limit peaks between samples using intelligent oversampling.

The all-in-one visualizer and threshold/ceiling slider allow you to easily set parameters relative to the input signal level.

Set the ceiling to true peak mode to prevent the signal from exceeding the maximum level.

Pull down the threshold control to control when limiting kicks.

Auto Style automatically adjusts the limiter's trajectory based on the transient content of the signal.

Auto Release overrides the release time, automatically shortening transient peaks and extending sustained sounds.

Uses an advanced fade-in lookhead algorithm to smoothly capture transients.

Accurate instantaneous and maximum true peak value readings.

Use on the master bus to transparently add loudness to your mix.

Channel Link blends between stereo or independent left/right limiting.

Compliant with ITU-R BS 1770 and Apple 'afclip' True Peak detection standards.

Use steering and ducking meters to minimize stereo degradation.

Gain Match allows you to preview the limiter's effect without psychoacoustic effects from increasing signal levels.

Use Gain Lock to maintain applied gain and quickly demo various presets and styles of source material.

Mix control to return to the original signal when adding punch or character rather than using the limiter to capture peaks.

Until 30th June.
