Drum Designer breaks down individual hits into individual slices and layers, leveraging the best of both raw synthesis and sample-based drum design approaches. A vast collection of thousands of "component" samples is integrated into four expressive drum engines—kick, snare, clap, and cymbal—and leverages custom 3D wavetables, samples, filtering, and DSP to help you create the next generation of signature beats.

Kits and Sequencer

Drum Designer's "Sequencer" is a powerful instrument in its own right, featuring eight engines (one kick, two snares, one clap, and four cymbals) and volume, pan, and pitch sequencers with up to eight bars and up to 1/64th resolution. Quickly control each engine's time, gain, pan, pitch, and sends, and refine your sound with bus effects like compressors, EQ, delays, and reverbs. Simply click and drag sequences to copy them as MIDI to your desktop or DAW.

Drum Designer includes four instruments: KICK, SNARE, CLAP, and CYMBAL. The KIT groups these instruments into a single instance, including the sequencer, quick controls, and bus effects. KICK, SNARE, CLAP, and CYMBAL can be loaded as single instruments, ideal for designing single hits. A multi-output version of the KIT is also available.
