The TR-606 is a programmable drum machine released in 1981. Originally designed as a companion to the TB-303 Bassline, its size, price, and ease of use lowered the barrier to high-quality music production, making it accessible to almost anyone.

The punchy midrange kick, the sizzling toms, and the sparkling hi-hats made the TR-606 a huge hit with DIY musicians and was used in a wide range of genres, from 80s new wave and punk to electronic styles. The original TR-606 is becoming increasingly difficult to find and commands high prices on the used market. Using our proprietary ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology, we have meticulously recreated the original analog circuitry that is the essence of the TR-606 sound. This plugin faithfully reproduces the nuances and details of the original TR-606 while adding new features that greatly expand the sound and creativity of modern musicians and producers.

Hardware Integration

The TR-606 plugin seamlessly integrates with Roland's TR-8S Rhythm Performer and Roland boutique TR-06 hardware instruments. You can transfer patterns from the TR-8S to the TR-606 plugin, or create beats in your DAW and send them back to the hardware for live performance. The TR-06 also features pre-mapped controls, allowing you to directly manipulate the plugin.
