Released in 1990, the WAVESTATION is a synthesizer equipped with an advanced vector synthesis system that can create new sounds by combining and connecting multiple waveforms. It boasts numerous unique features, such as the ability to mix and morph four oscillators using a joystick, and a wave sequencing function that allows you to arrange waveforms in sequence to form rhythm and melody sequence patterns. It remains a legendary and irreplaceable instrument to this day.

KORG Collection WAVESTATION V2 is an upgraded version of the WAVESTATION software released in 2004, improved to suit modern production environments. KORG has added a high-resolution and scalable interface, a feature requested by many users. The preset sounds include all 1,500 programs, including those on the expansion ROM card, allowing you to enjoy the renowned WAVESTATION sound by plugging in the latest software.

Complete Reproduction of an Advanced Vector Synthesis System

WAVESTATION was the first synthesizer to feature wave sequencing capabilities. Wave sequencing enables performance by crossfading and smoothly connecting various waveforms. What sets WAVESTATION apart from other synthesizers is the ability to freely design and perform wave sequences. When creating patches using multiple oscillators, WAVESTATION allows you to freely set the modulation method of the sound using vector synthesis.

KORG Collection WAVESTATION includes all the sounds from WAVESTATION's PCM memory. The new iWAVESTATION reproduces every detail of each parameter in software. Regarding the hardware, KORG analyzed the original circuit diagram and completely reproduced the circuit in software down to the smallest detail. Engineers with extensive knowledge of WAVESTATION meticulously adjusted the sound to achieve the original instrument's sound, going beyond what could be achieved by simply sampling the original sound. High-Resolution Interface Compatible with Retina and 4K Displays

KORG has significantly improved the GUI of the KORG Legacy Collection WAVESTATION software, originally released in 2004. High-resolution graphics support the latest Retina and 4K displays. Six levels of scalability dramatically improve ease of use. In addition to the ease of use and satisfying features unique to Polysix, various parameters such as patching can be controlled in high resolution.

1,500 Programs, Over 700 Waveforms

The dynamic pad sounds and rhythmic percussion sounds unique to the WAVESTATION were widely used not only in contemporary music at the time, but also in movies, television programs, stage productions, and exhibitions. KORG Collection WAVESTATION includes a wealth of preset programs and waveforms from all models in the series, including WAVESTATION, WAVESTATION EX, WAVESTATION A/D, and WAVESTATION SR. Furthermore, it includes six popular optional PCM/program cards from that era, and the KORG Legacy Collection adds seven new KLC cards. With over 1,500 preset sounds, over 700 waveforms, and 55 effects, you can create an infinite number of sounds.

Selecting and searching through a vast number of preset programs can sometimes lead you astray from the core of music production. KORG Collection WAVESTATION V2 has been updated with an easy-to-use program browser. Using two types of tags that allow filtering by instrument category and timbre characteristics, you can easily find the sound you're looking for.

Powerful Random Number Generation Engine

While WAVESTATION offers flexible editing thanks to its unique waveform sequencing system, some users may find it difficult to create everything from scratch. Therefore, KORG Collection WAVESTATION 2 features a new random sequencing function that automatically generates new sounds with the touch of a button, providing endless inspiration.
