Fat Cat is a free saturation and distortion plug-in for vocals. Add color and warmth to your vocals, or power them up as a distortion effect. Fat Cat will become your new favorite vocal saturation plug-in.
Fat Cat models and fine-tunes modern analog tube preamps to add musical, pleasing harmonic distortion. Simply turn up the Drive knob to thicken your vocals. Be careful, though, as Fat Cat can quickly become fattening.
Fat Cat starts with gentle preamp saturation. Turning up the Drive knob begins to deliver warm saturation/distortion, perfect for bringing vocals to the forefront of the mix. Turning up the Drive knob transforms Fat Cat into a soft clipper, delivering a truly warm and crunchy distortion.
Using the Mix knob to blend in the original, unsaturated signal creates a more natural sound (parallel saturation). If you find it too loud, you can always turn down the Vol (Volume) knob.
