This bundle of four fully parametrically modeled audio effect plug-ins is ideal for exploring the sound of analog tape. From high-quality studio reels to worn-out cassette recorders, and everything in between, you can freely explore the sonic qualities of magnetic tape and tape transport.
Tape Suite offers four effects: Delay, Flanger, Chorus, and Color. Each effect is custom-designed based on advanced physical models to accurately recreate the characteristics of analog tape and tape-based effects, delivering impressive sound quality. Delay features four heads with independent panning, host synchronization, and selectable feedback heads. Flanger is a through-zero design with manual and LFO modes. Chorus offers up to eight voices and adjustable stereo spread.
Color adds a texture processor and a convolver that handles impulse responses from vintage devices, providing rich character.
Tape Suite's signature tape and mechanical simulations are comprised of four main sections and are accessible through each plug-in's bottom shelf editor. Tape Simulation offers an innovative magnetization model, faithfully recreating a wide range of magnetic materials. Compander offers three different models that recreate the noise-reduction encoding and decoding stages found throughout the history of tape machines. Playback Filtering models the characteristics of tape playback heads, providing physically accurate control over speed, head-to-tape spacing, angle, and width. Modulation models a tape transport, providing incredibly natural detuning, wow, and flutter.
Tape Suite offers many additional features, including compensated drive, feedback compensation, low latency mode, tempo syncing, grid snapping, delay multiplication, and effect visualization, creating an innovative, modern effects suite that is both easy to use and powerful.
Tape Suite is compatible with major DAW software as a 64-bit native plug-in for macOS and Windows, supporting common major formats (AU, VST, VST3, AAX). iLok copy protection allows for simultaneous use on a single license on an iLok key or PC, up to three devices.
