Animal Pads by Joonas Ylänne, a unique pad synth by sounds of 4 animals: dog, frog, pig, and sheep,  is now available for free!

Animal Pads was born more out of curiosity and experimentation than necessity. After discovering that EQ can turn almost any sound into a playable instrument, I began searching for unusual sound sources. Finally, I came to the conclusion that animal sounds could be turned into instruments.

After some experimentation, I chose four animals: dog, frog, pig, and sheep. Each recording was reconstructed with a long reverb tail and harmonic EQ boost, evolving into a playable pad texture.

At the heart of this instrument is the XY controller, allowing you to blend these animal sounds in new ways to create organic movement and evolving atmospheres.
