Mic Room's essence is to enhance the sonic flexibility and versatility of your physical microphone collection. As a T-RackS module, it can be used standalone or as a configurable plug-in. For best results, apply it to individual tracks in your mix that contain audio recorded from a microphone source, such as vocals, acoustic guitar, or drum tracks.

Once placed on a track, select the microphone used to record the original audio. All Mic Room microphone models are available as source microphones. You can then select a new microphone to re-mic the characteristics of the original recording to match the nuances and tonal characteristics of the microphone you want to incorporate into your mix.

Creative Tone Control

In addition to delivering high-fidelity sound, Mic Room also features numerous additional tone control features designed to enhance your recording experience.

The Proximity Effect effect emulates the "proximity effect" that occurs when a sound source is close to a microphone. By adjusting the control's wide range, you can achieve a deep, rich, and vibrancy-filled "FM radio vocal" tone, as if the sound source were right in the mix. You can also cut low frequencies by turning the control counterclockwise.

The Harmonic Content Adjustment effect maximizes the rich harmonic complexity and power of tube condensers. Use this control to add saturation, character, and texture to your recordings. In other words, this control can add a little character and warmth to a lackluster vocal track. Pushing the control to its full potential also allows for creative and distinctive sounds.
