Soliste is designed to maximize the expressive power of the Expressive E Osmose synthesizer and is compatible with all other MPE controllers. It responds perfectly to the Expressive E Touché, but also works well with legacy MIDI controllers that don't support MPE.

A living instrument at your fingertips - Real-time responsiveness allows the performer's gestures to smoothly transition between sustain, bow strokes, and tremolo.
Expressive Playing Modes - Soliste features three distinct playing modes built for real-time expression, each designed for different levels of interaction and control.
Classic mode is based on the press-and-tap concept. Tapping triggers bow strokes, while pressing shapes the dynamic intensity of sustained bow strokes.
Virtuoso mode introduces a smart forward/backward bow control system, allowing direct, real-time control of the bow.
Expressive Bow Mode is a subtle blend of Classic and Virtuoso modes, built on press-and-tap control. Tapping triggers a single bow stroke. Pressing accesses two behaviors: a slow gesture for sustained bowing, like in Classic mode, or a fast gesture for real-time back-and-forth movement, like in Virtuoso mode.
Smart Vibrato System - Play vibrato in two ways: manually with per-note pitch control or a compatible playing interface, or use the Assisted Vibrato system to gradually fade in a natural vibrato at note-on or with continuous playing gestures. The intelligent system allows for smooth transitions between manual and assisted vibrato.
Portamento and Pressure Glide Support - An advanced velocity-based system allows flexible portamento control, offering tuning options to suit your playing style. Soloiste instruments also fully support Osmose's Pressure Glide feature, allowing real-time portamento control with continuous pressure gestures.
Expand Your Possibilities with Articulation Presets - In addition to the core playing modes, Soliste features a wide range of presets designed to recreate specific articulations, including sul ponticello, pizzicato, Bartók, and staccato. Real-time tremolo is also included. Each articulation can be customized to match your intent and playing style.

Highly Customizable Sound Engine - Physical modeling technology allows you to customize every aspect of the instrument to your liking. Adjust bow behavior, from attack time and gesture shape to interaction types like sustain, back and force, hybrid mode, and tremolo. You can also dramatically change the character of the instrument by selecting different bodies. Each body offers a distinct timbre, as if switching between different instruments. Customize note linking (detached or legato), tweak vibrato and portamento response, and shape the sound with a wide range of timbre parameters. Effects - Soloiste provides simple yet effective tools for shaping and balancing your sound. The built-in 3-band EQ refines your instrument's tone, while the brightness control adjusts spectral presence to help your sound stand out in the mix. A high-quality convolution reverb adds natural acoustics captured from real-world environments, from majestic churches and large halls to intimate spaces, adding spaciousness to your performance.
