FreqTube FT1-EMU by Freqport, the ultimate saturation plug-in, is now 25% off for $74.25 at the lowest price ever.
FreqTube FT1-EMU by Freqport, the ultimate saturation plug-in, is now 25% off for $74.25.
A true analog vacuum tube saturation and harmonics plug-in, with optional integration for actual hardware.
FreqTube FT1-EMU is the first product in history to bring the behavior of true analog circuitry into a fully standalone software plug-in, fusing authentic vacuum tube sound with the flexibility, speed, and repeatability of modern digital production.
While analog processors are highly prized for their sound, they often require complex hardware setups that can disrupt the creative flow. FT1-EMU removes this barrier by delivering high-precision analog circuit modeling directly within your DAW. No hardware is required.
Built using component-level circuit modeling based on the SPICE reference model of the original FreqTube FT1 hardware, FT1-EMU goes beyond conventional digital emulation methods to reproduce true vacuum tube saturation, rich harmonics, and natural dynamic behavior.
FT1-EMU can be used anywhere in your session, just like a standard plug-in. You can apply it to multiple tracks or channels, automate every parameter, and instantly recall settings—all with the precision and flexibility unique to modern digital workflows.
When you want to step up to genuine analog processing, simply connect the separately sold FreqTube FT1 hardware unit. You can instantly switch from software emulation to authentic analog vacuum tube processing using the same plug-in, without changing your workflow or DAW session. The transition from digital to analog happens with a single click.
FreqTube FT1-EMU is more than just an analog-style plug-in. This is a new hybrid platform for producers, engineers, and sound designers seeking authentic analog sound today, while offering a pathway to seamlessly transition to genuine vacuum tube hardware in the future.
Technology
The FT1-EMU employs component-level circuit modeling based on SPICE reference models of the original hardware design. Rather than approximating sound through static captures or "black-box" modeling, this approach reproduces the electrical interactions between circuit components. Consequently, the plug-in preserves the non-linear behavior, dynamic response, and signal interactions that define the characteristics of the original analog circuitry. The models have been refined using measurements from the hardware unit and optimized for modern real-time performance. While the plug-in faithfully reproduces circuit behavior in software, actual analog hardware remains the ultimate reference. Therefore, Freqport developed a hybrid platform that allows for seamless switching between the emulation and the physical FT1 hardware within the same plug-in workflow.
