【New VST!】Dope! GREAT New Lo-Fi Vocal & Choir VST! Microcassette Vocals by Decent Samples

Microcassette Vocals by Decent Samples, a lo-fi vocal library, is now available for free.

Dusty, out-of-tune, and eerily beautiful: the sound of a man singing into a microcassette recorder.

Description
Recently, I've become completely obsessed with microcassette tapes. My adventure began with a single vocal sample recorded on a Panasonic handheld Dictaphone. Here's the sample library.

I've long been fascinated by these devices. I remember seeing them in catalogs as a kid. They seemed more like a fantasy world, a symbol of cool business technology, than a real-world tool. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I ever saw them used in a serious way. Now that I think about it, I can say I have used them seriously, even if it wasn't for their intended purpose. The process of recording this little sample library couldn't have been easier. Just press record, sing your entire vocal range into the recorder, and press stop.

The tape recorder was shaking and the pitch wasn't perfect, but it still sounded pretty good. It's like a one-man Mellotron choir. I hope you enjoy! If you'd like to delve deeper into my obsession with microcassettes, check out the much more extensive MEMOS library I've created with Venus Theory.
