Whether you're trying to tame sibilance on lead vocals, tame sharp-sounding hi-hats, or tame harshness during mastering, a truly good de-esser is both essential and elusive. Enter Weiss Deess, available as an individual plug-in or as part of the Weiss DS1-MK3 Collection.

Most de-essers, even the latest digital and plug-in units, lack versatility, ease of use, and proper visualization, or simply don't perform as expected. Combining the acclaimed sonics of the industry's gold standard, the Weiss DS1-MK3—the go-to digital hardware de-essing unit used in top mastering studios worldwide—with a thoroughly modern, focused design approach, we're excited to announce the Softube Weiss Deess Plug-in. Stop searching and start succeeding. This is a de-esser.

First, it has two completely independent bands. While most de-essers have a single de-esser, focusing on a single frequency is rare, especially when dealing with complex material or mastering applications.

Second, it has a variety of filter shapes and excellent bandwidth control, allowing you to focus exactly on what you need to address, without collateral damage.

Third, it has unparalleled visualization. The large, colorful, and intuitive display shows the FFT readout and filter shape, so you can clearly see how your signal is being affected.

Fourth, the front-panel GUI is uncluttered and focused on providing great visual information, while the side menu lets you control everything. And we mean everything: ratio, attack and release times, knee settings, makeup gain, and more.

Fifth, low-latency mode enables de-essing with tracking, eliminating tedious tasks in what often feels like uncreative editing. There's nothing better than getting it right along the way.

Finally, and most importantly, the Weiss algorithm, code-ported from the gold-standard DS1-MK3 unit, provides the best-sounding de-essing in the world. It does its job effectively and transparently, without any hassle or artifacts. Using it will sound better than without it. It's as simple as that.

In short:

The best-sounding de-esser, with an algorithm code-ported from the industry-standard DS1-MK3.

Two bands of de-essing. The only de-esser you'll ever need.

Stunning, intuitive visualization makes this de-esser easy to use.

A clean faceplate for tweaking and immediate use, with highly detailed controls hidden in the side menu.

A highly professional tool without a daunting or complex appearance.

Low latency mode lets you de-ess while tracking vocals.

All the versatility you need in terms of filter shape, frequency, and more.
