Transient Control by quietformat, a new transient shaper, is now available for free.
Turning the main knob to the right emphasizes sustain and smooths the attack.
Turning it to the left emphasizes attack and shortens sustain.
Sensitivity adjusts transient detection to match the response to the source.
For the smooth control, the effective direction depends on the main knob.
If the main knob is set to the sustain direction, turning the smooth knob to the left (-) creates a softer feel.
If the main knob is set to the attack direction, turning the smooth knob to the right (+) creates a softer feel.
Drive saturates the signal, increasing density and presence. Boosting punch and trimming the tail can be done in just a few seconds, without the need for complex parameters.
Also, setting the Transient Control knob to -100 and maxing out the Smooth and Sensitivity creates a unique texture with a velvety attack and a tight body.
This produces a "soft yet tight" sound that's rare in typical transient shapers.
