Long live the Goddess Queen!
The Roland JUNO-60 defined the sound of the '80s and is lauded for its vintage vibe and unique character. Simply put, this is the sound that comes to mind when you think of a fat, punchy analog synthesizer. The JUNO-60 Software Synthesizer recreates the authentic sound of this legendary keyboard in a modern software instrument.

Big, fat analog goodness.

The JUNO-60 was one of the earliest models in Roland's iconic JUNO series, and it remains high on many synth enthusiasts' all-time favorite lists. Released in 1982 as the successor to the JUNO-6, the JUNO-60 boasted a patch storage function—rare at the time—and boasted performance that surpassed its predecessor. While the next-generation JUNO-106 further cemented the JUNO's reputation, the JUNO-60 possesses a distinctive thickness and hi-fi punch that will forever remain a coveted companion for musicians and producers.

What makes the JUNO unique?

The JUNO formula—a single DCO, a fat sub-oscillator, a distinctive VCF, and, of course, a powerful, swirling chorus—combined to create a sound that everyone will love. Its deceptively simple architecture and straightforward workflow allow you to effortlessly create amazing sounds. Tried and tested on countless songs over the years, its sound has proven itself. The Roland JUNO's sound is more than just a synthesizer; it's truly JUNO.

A sound that's true to life.

In the decades since the release of the original JUNO-60, we've continued to delve deep into the science of sound and synthesis. The stunningly accurate sound of the JUNO-60 Software Synthesizer and other Legendary Series plug-ins is powered by our proprietary ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology. This technology faithfully models the analog circuitry of the JUNO-60's iconic design, aiming to produce a sound so realistic it'll give you goosebumps.

Adjust to your taste.

Vintage synthesizers like the JUNO-60 featured internal trim controls, allowing engineers to adjust various analog components outside of specification. However, sometimes "out of spec" can result in unique, interesting, or even extraordinary sounds. The newly added Circuit Mod feature, made possible by the latest ACB technology, lets you sweep multiple trims with a single Macro control. Combined with the Condition parameter, which simulates aging, you can recreate anything from a factory-fresh JUNO-60 to a well-worn synth that hasn't been touched on a tech bench in decades.

More to love.

When designing the JUNO-60 software synthesizer, we felt it was important to avoid straying too far from the original's meticulously balanced charm—including its quirks and fascinating limitations. But we spared no effort in adding flexibility, such as expanding the oscillator range and adding a second envelope. The JUNO-60 is the JUNO-60. Only...better.

For all filter enthusiasts.

It's hard to overstate how crucial filters are to a synthesizer's sound. Roland filters are renowned for their distinctive sound, and the JUNO-60's filters are a prime example. Sweet, thick, juicy—these are all adjectives you could describe. The JUNO-60 Software Synthesizer perfectly models the original's filters, and even includes the ability to switch to the JUNO-106's HPF circuit for its distinctive bass boost.

Chorus after chorus. And more.

A defining feature of the JUNO sound is its stunning chorus circuit. Like the original, the software version offers two selectable chorus modes, plus a third "secret" mode accessed by pressing both buttons simultaneously. This behavior has been faithfully recreated in meticulous detail, along with the signature JUNO noise that many JUNO fans will recognize as part of their charm. We've also added chorus options from the classic BOSS CE-1 pedal, along with equally rich reverb, delay, flanger, and overdrive effects.

Tone that lasts for days.

The JUNO-60 Software Synthesizer features a wide selection of ready-to-mix presets, carefully curated by expert sound designers. From basses and leads to pads and plucks, it's packed with impactful, emotive sounds that will inspire new music and help you build tracks quickly.

Authentic sound without the hassle.

Roland Cloud is the only software resource that recreates the true JUNO-60 sound. While the original hardware version is hard to find, expensive, and requires frequent tuning, the Roland Cloud plug-in is always up to date and ready to play when you need it.

Go beyond software.

The JUNO-60 also supports the PLUG-OUT format, further enhancing integration with the Roland SYSTEM-8 hardware synthesizer. Parameters are automatically mapped to the SYSTEM-8's controls, so you can take the fully functional JUNO-60 to the stage without a computer. And for a DAW-centric workflow, you can also use the SYSTEM-8 or Roland Boutique JU-06/JU-06A for one-to-one, hands-on control of the JUNO-60 plug-in.

Until 30th September.
