【New Free VST!】Amazing! Must-Have StudioSpeaker Simulator for HeadphoneMix! Crossfeed by Altitude Audio

Crossfeed by  Altitude Audio, a powerful studio monitor speaker simulator and analyzer plug-in for headphone mix, is now available for free!

The free Crossfeed plug-in delivers a more natural, speaker-like sound experience through headphones. It also provides comprehensive visual feedback and advanced stereo field manipulation, allowing you to control the sound both visually and aurally. Enjoy enhanced spatial awareness while monitoring the stereo image in real time.

What is Crossfeed?

Crossfeed technology simulates the acoustic experience of listening to speakers in a room. When using headphones, each ear hears its own channel, resulting in an unnatural, "in-your-head" sound. Crossfeed sends a set amount of sound from each channel to the other ear, preserving stereo width and detail for a more natural, speaker-like listening experience. This reduces listening fatigue and improves natural stereo imaging and spatial awareness.

Classic Sound, Modern Control
Crossfeed goes far beyond traditional crossfeeds with precise control and flexible processing. The Width and Focus controls allow you to fine-tune the width of your stereo image, from center to enhanced stereo. The Wet/Dry Mix lets you blend processed and unprocessed signals to find the perfect balance for your material. Two processing approaches are available: Modern mode reimagines classic crossfeeds, while Direct mode is a more pronounced, traditional crossfeed.

Real-Time Visualization
Crossfeed offers unique visualization tools that let you visualize your audio in real time. These visualizations help you understand the spatial characteristics of your mix and make better mixing decisions.

Lissajous Vectorscope

The Lissajous Vectorscope monitors the stereo field relationship between left and right channels. This tool is particularly useful for identifying phase correlation issues and ensuring proper stereo balance in your mix.

Polar Sample View

Polar Sample View visualizes instantaneous stereo information in polar coordinates. This visualization helps you identify momentary phase cancellations and understand the dynamic movement of your audio across the stereo field.

Polar Level Display

The Polar Level Display shows the energy distribution across the stereo field. This tool is extremely useful for monitoring the overall stereo width and balance of your mix over time.

FFT Spectral Analysis

FFT Spectral Analysis allows you to analyze frequency content in multiple display modes. This detailed frequency visualization helps you identify the accumulation of problematic frequencies and ensure spectral balance across your mix.

Visual Decision-Making

These visual tools help you identify phase issues, understand stereo width characteristics, and make informed decisions based on both visual and auditory feedback. Combined, these visualizations provide a comprehensive toolkit for achieving professional-quality stereo imaging.
