About the Snare Drum Library:

Decades in the making, this library was recorded at Bocce Recording in Vancouver under the meticulous guidance of producer Mark Powers and engineer John Morgan Askew. Featuring 57 unique classic, vintage, and antique snare drums, this collection offers a sonic palette of 1,425 pre-blended samples that can be used individually or as a round robin in your DAW.

Additionally, 7,125 original samples recorded from all microphones used in the process are included, for a total of 8,550 samples at your disposal. These samples include two-beat and four-beat signatures, as well as rim shots, cross sticks, ghost notes, and room dynamics, bringing organic, realistic life to your drum mixes.

About the Bass Drum Library:

The foundation of modern music is the one-two punch of kick and snare. This combination lays the foundational beat upon which a symphony of melodies is layered. To explore this foundation, José Medeles brings you a curated selection of vintage bass drum sounds. This is the second in a series of curated sample libraries featuring unique and valuable tones for the studio and stage.

Teaming up once again with producer Mark Powers and engineer John Askew, this package features 37 vintage and legendary bass drum sounds captured with four classic microphones, totaling 2,220 unique samples. Perfect paired with the snare samples from Volume 1, this collection will deepen your authentic, organic rhythms and define your next groove. Works with all DAWs:

Blended/mixed samples (25 per drum) with five round-robin options for each of the following five sounds:
• Center Stroke
• Ghost Note
• Rim Shot
• Side Stick (Cross Stick)
• Snare Off (Center Stroke)

Original/unmixed samples (125 total per drum) from the following microphones used in the recording process:
• Shure SM57 (bottom)
• Beyerdynamic M 201 TG (top)
• Coles 4038 (overhead)
• AEA R88 MkII Stereo Ribbon (room)
• AKG C451 B Stereo Pair (room)

All samples are 24-bit 44.1kHz WAV files

Every snare listing includes details such as era, size, shell construction, and number of lugs. A photo of each vintage snare is also included at the top of the sample folder.

Five round-robin samples for each of the following three rounds/articulations:
• Regular full stroke (beater bounces off the head)
• Recessed beater (presses into the head)
• Feathered (light 1-inch stroke distance)

• AEA R44 Ribbon (Room)

A total of 2,220 individual samples.
