【New Free VST!】Cool! 🏖️Water SFX & Synth VST! Using a Swimming Pool as a Musical Instrument by Necatuss

Using a Swimming Pool as a Musical Instrument by Necatuss, a SFX sample library of water and synth, is now available for free.

It's fun to listen to the sounds and imagine how they were recorded and designed.

On a hot summer day, there's nothing better than cooling off in a pool. Even a relatively affordable above-ground pool like this one, costing just $200, can be truly blissful. For today's VST, I wanted to take advantage of the pool using a field recorder. I wanted to make relaxation time not just refreshing, but also meaningful. First, I recorded the ambient sounds around the pool, including crickets, cicadas, tree frogs, and birds. Next, I recorded the sounds of water, splashing, and the pump. Finally, I added percussive sounds like people tapping and banging on the pool walls.

These sounds can be used in a variety of ways, but the most obvious is to create percussion-based instruments using Foley sounds. This is perfect for adding texture and rhythm to your tracks, creating a unique, organic feel. However, I didn't want to stop there. I also wanted to create a more timbral instrument. There are several ways to achieve this. Previously, I've used granular synthesis with 3D printers, but this time I wanted to explore tonal resonances to create rich pad sounds as well. In the end, I think I've created a fun, textured instrument that I created to represent the joys of summer using my home pool.

As always, I hope you enjoy it. If you create something interesting with this VST or would like to send me a message about it, please feel free to contact me.
