Parallel processing plays a key role in creating punch in your mix. Blending multiple copies of the same track together can add punch and a more natural sound.

It's like teamwork. Working together, multiple copies of the same track (each focused on one specific task) can achieve more than just processing a single copy in isolation.

Parallel Aggressor is based on this simple concept. This plug-in splits your audio into three equal parts:

Dry - the original signal

Spank - a compressed duplicate

Hot - a highly saturated duplicate

Go wild with the duplicates! Then combine all three signals to squeeze every last drop out of your track.

You're probably already using parallel processing throughout your mix. But Parallel Aggressor is designed to maximize sonic impact with minimal track count. No extra busses or mix faders are required.

Like other Baby Audio plug-ins, Parallel Aggressor is designed to inject its own unique sonic flavor into your mix. This plug-in handles the finer details internally and leaves the larger details to you.

Spank

Spank delivers an addictive, punchy compression algorithm designed to adapt to your audio signal. It surpasses the limits of Baby Audio's I Heart NY plug-in, offering improved sound quality, signal detection, and flexibility.

Style Injection Buttons: Extra Punch, Extra Smack, Sidechain Filter, Mono.

Heat

Heat is a warm, analog-modeled saturation algorithm with an aggressive, beat-like feel. Based on Baby Audio's tape saturator found on Super VHS, it has been rewritten and optimized for the Parallel Aggressor release.

Style Injection Buttons: Extra Hot, Tone, HP Filter, LP Filter.

Auto Gain

The Auto Gain feature ensures that the combined output of the plug-in's three signals closely matches the input level (dry level). This allows for a wide variety of internal mix balances while maintaining consistent plug-in output.

Workflow

Balance the three parallel signals from the Main Level Mixer.

Use the Spank and Heat knobs to adjust the heat of the parallel engines.

The meters help you set the appropriate amount of Spank and Heat for any audio signal. (Turn the main Spank/Heat knobs until the meters peak just before the orange line.)

The Style knob injects your desired sonic flavor into the parallel engines. Multiple engines can be activated simultaneously.

The Solo button allows you to monitor each parallel signal individually for fine-tuning.

Enable Auto Gain for a consistent plug-in output that closely matches the input level.

Output sets the global output level (after Auto Gain).

Click the icon in the upper left to switch between three different color schemes.

Parallel Aggressor includes 25 presets created by BABY Audio and friends.
