Advanced Audio Clarity
Whether you're stacking synths or building a bassline, layering multiple instruments always creates a big sonic impact. It's the magical combination of sounds that can make or break a track. But here's the headache. Nothing kills the vibe faster than having hidden resonances and unruly overtones creep in and ruin your mix. Enter DERES, where resonances meet! This plugin is a resonance-suppressing foot soldier that comes to the rescue to drown out muddy sounds and pesky overtones that have invaded your productions.
DERES doesn't just guess which frequencies need your attention. It works based on a mathematical scenario of sonic harmonics. It reveals hidden resonances that even the sharpest-eared producers would not notice otherwise. The Preview feature lets you sneak a peek at annoying interferences before any cleanup action. Then, eliminate the unpleasant noises with a user-friendly interface and streamlined workflow. It's like x-ray visualizing sound waves and dynamically adjusting resonant peaks in a musical way. Clarity is paramount, so be sure to clean house before touching the mixdown.
Enhance, Identify, Reduce
The dedicated Listen button should be the first gadget in your DERES tool bag, making it easy to isolate unpleasant resonances by exaggerating their frequencies. Sweeping the 1-8 kHz range with the "Find" knob makes it easy to identify anomalous peaks that sound overly muddy or harsh. Then dial in the Reduce parameter and apply processing, resulting in a cleaner signal. Tweak the Q value to widen or narrow the coefficients to catch more or less of the surrounding frequencies.
Dynamic Relativity
While a normal surgical EQ only works on one narrow slice of frequency, DERES can handle all the multiple harmonics of a selected frequency. The Octave knob allows you to quickly reduce the relative content of the main frequencies so you can catch all the problematic peaks. The normal Static mode cuts resonances in a linear fashion. Or you can add an Advanced Dynamic mode for extra music processing that only comes into play when you really need it.
Compensation Station
Cutting out annoying frequencies cleans the signal, but it can make your audio sound a little flat. DERES makes up for that with a series of useful features. Use the Tone button to adjust the tonal balance of supporting instruments like pads and strings by applying a convolution response and removing unwanted frequencies. The "Compensate" knob boosts frequencies adjacent to those cleared by the Resonance Removal, adding brightness to counteract any perceived darkness in the processed signal. Use the Excite control to inject air into all sounds after the Resonance Removal, increasing their presence and brilliance and restoring lost energy. Add in the Mid/Side mode and low-cut filtering and you'll see that DERES is a powerful asset for a wide range of resonance reduction tasks.
Visual feedback and comparison
DERES is built on vector graphics with a resizable interface. A live spectrum is displayed on top, helping you pinpoint problem frequencies and showing you exactly what is happening to your signal in real time as it passes through the plugin. This allows for precise monitoring at every step of the chain. For those who like to experiment, use AB comparison or copy/paste to compare different processing chains. Use the Undo/Redo buttons to undo your changes.
Presets
DERES includes a huge number of factory presets, covering everything from subtle surgical corrections to more extensive transformations. Use the provided parameters as a starting point to clean up any type of audio and get the most out of your sound and productions.
