Now Mäag releases the TEC Award-nominated EQ2 in a plug-in version, bringing the magic of Air Band® at a lower price and perfectly complementing EQ4.

Mäag EQ2 delivers the same audio magic as its big brother, but with added features that make it the perfect companion to EQ4.

EQ4's wide musical control over four frequency bands makes it the best EQ on the market for sweetening up your tracks, but the second band of EQ2 gives you more control over the selection of center frequency and bandwidth, making it an excellent tool for fixing problems or making more radical changes.

EQ2 also has the legendary Air Band, just like EQ4, but offers a 15khz band that EQ4 does not. EQ2's LMF band offers a wider frequency selection, with 11 LMF bells to choose from, 6 wide and 5 tight, whereas EQ4 has a wider selection of bells. This allows EQ2 to zoom in on problem areas in a way that EQ4 cannot. EQ2 also features an input attenuator that EQ4 does not have, which helps normalize the signal before applying EQ.

LMF Switch
Low-mid frequency selector. Switch in the “up” position selects a tight bell curve (red band) and switch in the “down” position selects a wide bell curve (white band).

LMF Selector
Bell curve boost at Sub, 40 Hz, 57 Hz, 65 Hz, 88 Hz, 150 Hz, 220 Hz, 250 Hz, 400 Hz, 1 kHz, or 1.4 kHz.

LMF Gain
Gain control for LMF: +12 dB (tight bell) to +15 dB (wide bell)

Air Band®
Boosts only at the 2.5 kHz, 5 kHz, 10 kHz, 15 kHz, 20 kHz, or 40 kHz shelves. Frequencies below the shelf peak are also affected by the slope of the transition.

Air Band Gain
Gain control for AIR BAND +12 dB (40 kHz) to +17 dB (2.5 kHz)

Band In/Out
Selects whether the corresponding band is in-circuit or out-of-circuit.
