The Classic Sound of a Spring Tank
Spring Reverb models the sound and character of the popular spring reverb found in guitar amps popular in surf, garage, and rockabilly music. Spring further elevates this character by allowing manipulation of physical parameters typically unavailable in real spring tanks. The result is a wide range of sounds, from faithful reproductions of real springs to unique, new sounds that push the physical limits of reverb.
The vintage reverb sound, born from the reflection of sound waves through a spring, has been further evolved for the 21st century. Eventide Spring features two "spring tank" sizes and the ability to morph from one to three springs. Use Ribbon to seamlessly switch between the two settings in real time. Additionally, the tube-amp-inspired tremolo effect can be routed before or after Spring, allowing for unique, distinctive reverb sounds. Adjust the tremolo depth to control the reverb intensity, and the tremolo rate can be adjusted in Hz or, if tempo-synced to your project, in note increments.
Looking for even more control over your tone? Spring features independent controls for low and high damping frequencies. You can further enrich the Spring's resonance by adjusting the amount of metallic resonance in the high damping frequency. Guitarists will appreciate the surfer-like vibration, but any creative musician will find Spring can help synthesizers, drums, vocals, and more stand out in the mix.
