Rebowing Engine
Lux Violin employs a unique rebowing engine, meticulously designed to ensure that the notes of long articulations can be repeated at any time in a natural way. This is achieved by incorporating up to five variations per note, effectively eliminating the "machine gun effect". It further extracts repetitions from phrases, resulting in a natural and authentic performance.
Legato Engine
Legato with two types of transitions that are activated as you play, especially suitable for fast passages. Regular transitions are detailed up to an octave both up and down, and fast transitions are detailed up to a perfect fourth, allowing for seamless fast embellishments and playing.
Many options...
Lux Violin features a wide range of articulations covering the lowest to highest dynamic range: legato, harmonics, flautandos, three types of swells, and more. In addition, long articulations feature soft and hard attacks for even more expressive possibilities. Short articulations are extracted from phrases for a more natural and better connection between phrases, and spiccato with 12 round robins and 5 dynamic layers is emphasized.
The interface has three different modes
1. In Keyswitch mode, you can change the articulations using the red keys in the highest range of the keyboard.
2. In Split mode, you can split the keyboard into two different parts, for example playing legato on the right side and sustain on the left side.
3. Using the Morph mode you can transform one articulation into another. Very useful for example to transform a full tand into a harmonic or any other combination you like.
If you prefer to work this way or want to save resources, separate patches are also available.
