This is a recording of my favorite drums on a small kit. I recorded it with my favorite microphones through my favorite outboard equipment. I recorded a 4-piece kit with 5 cymbals. The end result will make you smile every time you listen to it!
Also included are 50+ MIDI files recorded while creating the presets. Use them as a skeleton for your song or as a starting point for your next drum piece.
No additional processing is required. Everything you hear is built into Decent Sampler.

I've been a drummer all my life, but I've only owned five drum sets. The first three were more of a side project, a broke student trying to put together something. But the last two I bought, a mahogany jazz kit I bought in college in 1993 and a maple/walnut rock kit I bought in 2013, are definitely ones I'll never let go of.
In 2013, I was asked to score a film about a car race. I liked the idea of a "rock band" doing the film's music. I knew the majority of the music would have more of an underscore element than a verse/chorus/verse structure. Of course, I was going to play and record all the guitar, bass, and drums myself.
And so began my never-ending search for the "best rock kit ever." And finally, I found this kit. It has a punchy, warm sound with plenty of sustain and power. And the addition of the Paiste Signature Series cymbals really added to the percussive sound.
I didn't think the sampled cymbals sounded very musical, so I was excited to hear what would happen if I hit every cymbal 4 times at 2 velocities. I made sure that every cymbal sounded good, some lasting more than 15 seconds. It sounded like I was playing them in my kit! I also added drum samples (again at 2 velocities and 4 RR).
I chose processing that adds weight and balance to the overall kit, but left plenty of room for users to make their own creative choices (especially for those who want to take advantage of the MULTI-OUT option).
