New in Ample Guitar v4:
Riffer 4: A MIDI editor customized for plucked string instruments.
- All-new strumming and chord system: The innovative "strum note" treats multiple sub-notes within a chord as a single editable object, allowing integrated control over strum time, velocity gradient, and legato parameters. Combined with authentic guitar fingering settings, creating strums becomes more intuitive and efficient, resulting in more realistic performances.
- Dual View Mode: A first-of-its-kind feature that seamlessly switches between the Piano Roll view and the Guitar Tab view in real time, providing two perspectives for reviewing and editing your compositions.
- String Instrument Visualization System: String instruments are visualized within the Piano Roll, allowing MIDI writing that faithfully mirrors the playing techniques of authentic plucked string instruments. It automatically prevents polyphony on the same string and intelligently assigns fingerings, resulting in a MIDI sound that more closely resembles realistic performances.
- Intuitive Technique Editing: Easily program fingerings, articulations, legato, and expression. No need for tedious keyswitches or complex MIDI CC programming.
- New MIDI CC and Velocity Editor: View and edit multiple MIDI CC lanes simultaneously with different colors and transparency. Create CC curve presets with one click for fast, expressive automation.
- Full MIDI Import/Export Compatibility: Whether you import external MIDI files or export from Riffer to a MIDI or Instrument track in your DAW, the playback results are identical and accurate.
- Extensive Riff Library: Hundreds of new guitar riffs to inspire your creativity and accelerate your workflow.
- Tab Reader 4: Supports Guitar Pro formats from GP3 to GP8. Import entire guitar tracks into Riffer, retaining all fingerings, articulations, and performance data.
- Ample Sound v4 Engine: Improved audio processing performance and efficiency.
- All-new 5K UI design.
- Completely Redesigned Presets: All presets have been redesigned for a more mature and refined tone. Each preset comes with a Riffer demo for instant listening inspiration.
Sampling and Other Upgrades
- AGLP: A new fingerstyle sample library has been added, recorded on the Gibson LP R9 electric guitar, adding 3.6 GB of new samples.
- AGSC: All four pickup position libraries now include new samples, including raking and slide FX.
- AMH: Strummer has been added.
- AME: Chord fingerings for Riffer and Strummer have been reworked for consistent compatibility with other guitars.
Equipped with "Strummer mode" for chord playing, you can play arpeggios and strokes using up to 8 rhythm patterns that can be registered. The rhythm patterns used can be switched in real time with a key switch. Of course, it also supports chord playing by freely controlling up/down strokes, muting, picking any string, etc. with a key switch. In addition, it is equipped with the long-awaited built-in amp system! You can choose your favorite model from 5 types of amp heads, 7 types of cabinets, and 8 types of microphones and freely combine them to create sounds. In addition, it is equipped with "Riffer panel" for creating riffs/phrases of up to 8 bars, and "Tab Player panel" for reading and playing tablature created in the tablature/score editing software "Guitar Pro" format (".gp3" ".gp4" ".gp5" ".gpx"). The "FX panel" has been greatly revamped in version 3, and is equipped with 8-band EQ, compressor with selectable RMS and Peak, 6-Tap Echo, and IR Reverb, making it visually easier to understand and use.
